Second-year students at the Alliance Française in Košice

On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, we had the opportunity to visit the Alliance Française in Košice. It was a very valuable experience, as we were able to talk with native French speakers. In my opinion, the activities we did were very interesting; I liked telling a story with picture cards the most. I think it developed not only our vocabulary but also our creativity. We also appreciated the tour of the library. Everyone was very helpful and patient when we did not know a word. We recommend this trip to other students.

The visit to the Alliance Française was interesting and also very educational. We did various activities: we guessed famous French people from photos, and together we created one big and at times funny story. I would definitely recommend a visit to the Alliance to everyone! Hearing a French person speak live is truly beautiful. I also liked how many different activities the Alliance offers. It is not just a place where you have to study, but also a place where you can "just" chat with French people. It definitely gave me a HUGE motivation to devote more time to this language and try to learn it. (Jozef Zuščík, 2.B)

At the Alliance Française we had a lesson with the instructor Cynthia about famous French people. I liked the approach and the way we learned about them. I also liked that whenever we could not say something, she translated it for us and was patient with us. The whole lesson with her was very pleasant and friendly. We also visited their library, where you can borrow books, CDs or even games. I was especially interested in all the activities and events that anyone can attend. I would recommend it to everyone, whether beginners, advanced learners or someone who just wants to chat in pleasant company. Our whole visit was interesting and I am already looking forward to the next one. (Nela Sopčáková, 2.B)
