European Researchers' Night
On September 26, 2025, the science festival European Researchers' Night was traditionally held at the Optima shopping center in Košice. In the morning, several Slovak universities introduced themselves to primary and secondary school students, presenting their work in the natural sciences, engineering and computer science. The central theme of the event was Chaos.
From our school, students of I.C, II.B and sexta attended the festival. At more than 60 university information stands they could gain interesting knowledge, take part in research and try various other activities in the fields presented. Examples include the use of digital technologies in analyzing blood samples, creating 3D models to better visualize various diseases in the body, recording the electrical activity of muscles, close contact with a snake, rodents and a parrot, demonstrations of programming large robotic machines, information on air quality and its impact on organisms and their environment, examining various cells and tissues under a microscope, solving mathematical puzzles and a space quiz, and much more.
The students found the event very engaging, and several expressed interest in attending again next school year.
