Euroscola 2026 – announcement of results

Euroscola 2026

On Friday, January 30, a group of students attended the awards ceremony of the national Euroscola 2026 competition. The results were announced and the projects defended at the House of the European Union in Bratislava.

The representatives of our Euroscola team set off to collect their award as early as 5:55 a.m. in Prešov, where they got into a car together and continued to Košice. Why Košice? Our delegation decided to test the new Košice – Bratislava flight. The idea of flying instead of taking the train proved very successful. The flight took only 35 minutes, which, compared with a six-hour train journey, saved a great deal of time and energy.

At the House of the European Union, a tasty breakfast was waiting for the students so they could refresh themselves before presenting their project. Before the diplomas were handed out, the students were addressed by Members of the European Parliament Miriam Lexmann and Branislav Ondruš. The Vice-President of the European Parliament Martin Hojsík and MEP Katarína Roth Neveďalová also addressed them via video recording.

Schools from Dubnica nad Váhom, Spišská Nová Ves, Vranov nad Topľou and, of course, ours were honored. Each school briefly presented its project to the other participating students and answered any questions about it.

After all the awards had been presented, the students were interviewed by a reporter from Slovak Radio and then invited to enjoy lunch.

The journey home was full of laughter and a relaxed atmosphere. Before our group reached its final destination in Bratislava – the railway station – it had to deal with the pitfalls of Bratislava's public transport. In the end, however, they made it to the train. The train ride was filled with funny moments and countless games of canasta.

They returned safely to Prešov, full of experiences and with an award that they will soon share with the whole Euroscola team. We thank everyone who took part in this project and helped achieve such a wonderful success.
