On Friday, September 18, 2026, GJAR was all about movement, sport and active time. On the occasion of the European School Sport Day we joined the #BeActive initiative and showed that even a school day can really get moving.
Dress sporty. Get moving. #BeActive
- Students came to school in a sporting spirit – in tracksuits and jerseys of their favorite sports or sports teams.
- For one day, the school corridors were filled with footballers, basketball players, hockey players, runners and fans of other sports.
- The main idea was to remind everyone that physical activity can be a natural and fun part of every day.
The long break on the move
During the long break, the gym turned into a sports zone with short challenges in which students could test their speed, accuracy, endurance and dance skills.
Five stations awaited them:
- Jump! – how many rope jumps can you do in 60 seconds?
- Basket Challenge – how many baskets can you score from five attempts?
- Wall Sit – how long can you hold a wall sit?
- Hit the Target – can you hit the target with a ball?
- Just Dance – a short on-screen dance routine for everyone who was not afraid to move to the rhythm of the music.
It was not about winning, but about moving
The GJAR #BeActive activity was not just about sporting performance. Its aim was to motivate students to move, have fun, try something new and spend the break actively.
We thank everyone who swapped their usual school outfit for a sporty one, took part in the challenges and helped create a great sporting atmosphere.
