We are delighted to welcome a new member of the GJAR family to our school – Grace Bida from the USA. As an English Teaching Assistant under the Fulbright Program, she will work at our school throughout the 2026/2027 school year. We believe her presence will enrich English teaching, give our students authentic contact with English and also allow them to get to know American culture and way of life more closely.
Her time in Slovakia began with a formal welcome. On September 3, 2026, the new American Fulbright grantees met together with their mentors in the Hall of Mirrors of the Primate's Palace in Bratislava. The ceremonial reception was not only an opportunity to welcome them to Slovakia, but also to mark the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America and the 80th anniversary of the Fulbright Program.
We wish Grace to feel at home among us and for her year at GJAR to be full of success, new experiences, wonderful moments, inspiring encounters and challenges that help her grow. We look forward to the school year together!
