On November 10, 2025, students of prima, secunda, tertia and quarta attended an educational concert by the Vento wind quintet. The wind players – on flute, oboe, bassoon, clarinet and French horn – took on a very demanding task: they played pieces composed for the films The Magnificent Seven, Pulp Fiction, Cinema Paradiso... for a demanding audience. The students solved the musical riddles with ease and recognized Harry Potter, Minecraft, Pirates of the Caribbean and How to Train Your Dragon from the first notes. This was helped by the commentary of the presenter, who responded quickly, asked interesting questions and so allowed the students to join in.
The educational concert was complemented by a very attractive tour of the renovated premises of the P. O. Hviezdoslav Regional Library in Prešov on Slovenská Street. The students toured all the floors – they looked into the beautifully refurbished basement and also saw the other floors, including the top one, which, besides a large number of children's books, also houses a play corner for the youngest.
We thank everyone who made this a very pleasant and worthwhile morning.
