On 20 November 2025, in the hall of PKO Prešov, the City of Prešov honored organizations and individuals who are significantly engaged in the social sphere.
Among those honored were volunteers – students of our school and their teachers, who for more than a year have been regularly visiting Atrium in Prešov on Dilongova Street. The City of Prešov and the evaluation committee presented us with the award Prešovský čin roka (Prešov Deed of the Year).

Our student volunteer Veronika Oboňová (1.B) also attended the award ceremony:
"On 20 November 2025, together with several classmates, I attended the Prešovský čin roka award ceremony. The event was excellently organized – they presented situations and problems from completely different areas of society. It brought together people who help make Prešov a place where everyone feels safe and accepted, and where there is always someone to turn to. We at GJAR also lent a hand, and we were recognized for it. They thanked us for voluntarily and lovingly devoting our free time to our seniors. The whole event was truly of a high standard: the opening, the program, the award presentation itself and the refreshments afterwards. It all served as a huge motivation for me to continue with further volunteering."
