On 11 December 2025, together with our students, we accepted an invitation from the management of the Faculty of Science of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University (UPJŠ) in Košice to a meeting with the faculty's scientists, who gave lectures explaining the research for which the 2025 Nobel Prizes were awarded in Physics, Chemistry and Physiology or Medicine.
The titles of this year's lectures explaining the essence of the award-winning scientific discoveries:
- MOF nano-sponges: materials with record surface area and their revolutionary uses.
- How the immune system knows where its limits are – when even our control system needs a controller.
- How a small electrical circuit proved that quantum mechanics works on a large scale.
