On Friday, 30 January, three of us students from the first, second and third years took part in a full-day training session focused on experiential learning methods.
The training was intended for cyber teams from various regions and schools across Slovakia and took place at the Faculty of Law of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University (UPJŠ) in Košice. Throughout the program, we were guided by two experienced trainers, JUDr. Daniela Lamačková and PhDr. Juraj Furda, who introduced us to many fun and playful methods that can be used in education. We had the opportunity to try out each method personally and take an active part in it. Each of them was beneficial not only for gaining new knowledge but also for developing cooperation and communication and stepping out of our comfort zone.
Thanks to this program, we had the opportunity to meet new people from different schools and regions and to work together in diverse teams. We consider the experience we gained very valuable and are glad we could become familiar with these methods. Learning through play is often more effective and engaging than theoretical teaching alone, so we look forward to using them in practice when teaching others.
We would like to thank you for the opportunity to take part in this training. It gave us not only specific activities we can use in practice but also the ability to empathize with others and to improve our presentation and communication skills.
