As part of Rayman Week, we once again welcomed a native speaker to our school, and selected first- and second-year students could experience an unconventional English lesson.
On April 21, 2026, we, the students of class II.A, took part in a talk with Jonathan Gresty – a Briton who has been living in Slovakia for more than 30 years.
The talk focused on Slovakia – our home country, which we often do not appreciate enough. During his talk – in English, of course – Jonathan presented several statistics and interactive charts that helped us see Slovakia from a more positive perspective. We compared Slovakia with other countries in terms of pollution, forest cover, crime and alcohol consumption.
So besides the benefit of listening to a natural British accent, the talk also gave us objective information, for which we are truly grateful. Thank you. (Tamara Antolová, II.A)
