At the national round of IJSO 2026 (International Junior Science Olympiad), held in Bratislava from 31 May to 4 June 2026, competitors once again tested their knowledge and skills in biology, chemistry and physics. In addition to demanding theoretical tasks, this time the competition also included an experimental part. In the biology experiment, their task was to separate the pigments contained in spinach using thin-layer chromatography. In physics, they determined the focal length of a converging lens, and in the chemistry part they identified various types of carbonates.
A great success was achieved by Adam Adamišin (tertia A), who became a successful solver of the national round and took an excellent 22nd place among the best young scientists in Slovakia.
We warmly congratulate Adam on his result and thank him for representing the school so well.
