Regional round of IJSO 2026 at our school
On 21 April 2026, our school hosted the regional round of the Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO 2026). The competition was attended by 118 successful solvers of the school round from all over Slovakia. The Prešov Region had the highest number of competitors, with as many as 32 students putting their knowledge and skills to the test.
After completing demanding tests in biology, chemistry and physics, 44 successful solvers were selected. The top 30 of them advanced to the national round of the competition.
We are very pleased with how successfully our school was represented. An outstanding success was achieved by Adam Adamišin, who won the regional round and took 1st place. Our school was also represented by Hana Rodáková (5th place), Jakub Vaňo (9th place) and Martin Čikoš (11th place).
We warmly congratulate Adam on his excellent result and wish him every success in the next round. We thank all our students for representing the school so well and for their effort in solving demanding science problems.
