On the occasion of World Health Day, on 9 April 2026, our first-year and quinta students attended the Open Day at the Regional Public Health Authority in Prešov.
The activity was held under the auspices of members of the student council, who helped organize the students' participation.
After an introductory presentation of the authority's work, the students were divided into groups and went through several interesting stations. They tried out body measurements, a fitness test, a hand hygiene check using a UV lamp and observing microorganisms under a microscope.
They were also interested in demonstrations on water quality, smoking prevention and information about the harmful effects of nicotine, vaping and modern nicotine products.
The event was educational and practical for the students and gave them a wealth of new knowledge about health protection, disease prevention and a healthy lifestyle.
