Life and health protection course at GJAR
We hold the life and health protection course (KOŽaZ) at Gymnázium Jána Adama Raymana every year at the end of June in cooperation with members of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic, the Police of the Slovak Republic and the Fire and Rescue Service of the Slovak Republic. Its aim was to give students the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills and to shape their attitude toward protecting their own life and health as well as the life and health of others. By completing the course, students gained the essential knowledge, skills and habits needed for survival, orientation, movement and staying in nature, providing first aid, and handling dangerous and emergency situations in nature and in society. Students of the 3rd year and septima completed these activities at the Sokolovské Barracks in Prešov with the ISTAR battalion and at the Regional Directorate of the Fire and Rescue Service in Prešov. We would like to thank them for their high-quality demonstrations, their approach and the valuable experience they passed on to our students. You can get an idea of what the course was like by watching a short video.
