"Reading is a conversation. All books talk. But a good book listens as well."
(Mark Haddon)
Thanks to donated funds and books given by students and teachers, students could choose during the school year from almost 200 titles of various genres (popular fiction, graded readers, classics of British and American literature, etc.) in the English library and thus improve their reading skills in a foreign language.
During the school year, students read more than 60 English books and could also take part in several book activities, e.g. language detectives (European Day of Languages), a book cipher and a book Kahoot quiz (March – Book Month). We also managed to create a cozy reading corner in room no. 71.
This summer, too, we invite you to take along a good book that not only talks but also listens – whether you relax with it at home, by the water or while traveling.
