On Friday, 5 June 2026, the Pálffy Palace in Bratislava hosted the award ceremony
of the national literary competition SLOVO 2025.
It was the 11th edition of this poetry and prose writing competition, announced by the publishing house Orbis Pictus Istropolitana, and this time more than 500 competitors took part in five categories.
In the category Secondary schools – prose, 1st place went to
Ema Michelčíková (II.B)

and in the category Lower secondary – prose, 1st place went to
Ľudmila Tobiášová (III.OA)

The expert jury also recognized Ľudmila Tobiášová's literary work as an exceptional contribution to contemporary writing by young authors and gave her the competition's highest award:

As the overall winner, she earns the right to have her debut book published
by Orbis Pictus Istropolitana, spol. s r.o.
