The main aims and goals of the physical education and sport subject department are for students to value health as one of their top priorities and to protect it purposefully; to know what threatens physical and mental health, to eliminate habits that endanger health, and to act rationally in situations of personal and public danger. We try to build good habits that serve as health prevention and a healthy lifestyle, and we try to convince students that physical activity is natural and important in their lives. Given the varying material and spatial conditions of the school, the physical education (TŠV) teachers have adapted the curriculum to the specific conditions and treat its content as an open system, i.e. they add to it or reduce it depending on their own conditions, students' interests, local traditions and other needs, while keeping to the core goals.
In assessing and grading physical education (TŠV) we follow Methodological Guidelines No. 21/2011 and No. 22/2012 on the assessment and grading of secondary and primary school students.
