The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award
The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award is an educational program under the patronage of the British royal family. It is one of the leading programs working with young people, preparing them for life and work.

The student company at GJAR is part of the Applied Economics educational program offered to schools by the non-profit organization Junior Achievement Slovensko, a member of Junior Achievement Worldwide. Through this program, students develop practical, personal and communication skills in business and finance.

Eco-School (Zelená škola)

The aim of the program is to involve students, school staff and parents in practical environmental education. An important goal of the Eco-School program is to lead students, through concrete activities in and outside lessons, toward a more environmentally friendly approach. Through hands-on experience, we want to develop students' creative and critical thinking as they design and carry out inspiring solutions to environmental and social problems at both local and global level.
Our school successfully carried out all the activities, met the requirements and received the international award – the "Eco-School" certificate.
Child-Friendly School

The aim of the program is to create an environment at school in which every child feels safe, well and confident, and which they are happy to come to. Such a school does not only teach about children's rights, it lives by them. It sets the framework for how children, teachers and parents work together.
School Without Hate
In the school year 2019/2020, we joined the first year of the ´School Without Hate´ program, which aims to support schools in preventing hate speech and bullying and in developing the values of tolerance and mutual respect in communication. Part of the program is internal audit I., in the form of questionnaires for GJAR parents, students and teachers, which is currently under way at our school. Based on the results, an expert team will write recommendations for us, according to which we will draw up an action plan for our school.
